
PULLIN’ AT THE PIT RULES
GENERAL RULES
- No alcohol in pit area, if caught you will be asked to leave/not allowed to pull
- No passengers in any class
- Event entrance requires a signed liability waiver
- 2 hooks per tractor/truck
- All payouts must be picked up within 30 minutes of last pull
- All tractors max 20″ hitch height
- All trucks MUST meet Heartland hitch height requirements
- All trucks must have their own hitch (NO SHARING HITCHES IN YOUR CLASS)
- All drivers must be registered at least 2 classes prior to your class
- All hitches trucks and tractors must have an opening of at least 3 inches wide by 3 3/4 inches deep or you WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PULL
- Hitches must be easily accessible
- Safety Equipment Encouraged (will not be disqualified for having extra safety equipment)

- 6200lb limit, DOT or Bar tire allowed, 26″ hitch height, Kill switch required
GENERAL RULES -continued
- Must be able to drive on and off of the scale (weight boxes must be able to clear the scale)
- ALL classes above the STOCK classes must have: Helmet, Full pants, closed toe shoes
- No arguing with/yelling at officials or you will be disqualified
- $100 protest fee – you and whom you are protesting will be teched
- Wheelie bar spec. (where applicable) – 2″ behind tires minimum, must support weight, height within reason off of the ground
- ROPS/roll cage will be required on everything above farm stock for 2026 season
- No injectables allowed except water where allowed.

- 6200 Shootout – not a Heartland class
- Stock Diesel
- Improved Diesel
- Hot Street Diesel

- Semi Trucks Road & Modified
Semi Trucks Rules – Road
- Hitch height 18″ (Hitches will be provided)
- No chain up of axle
- Current DOT
- Fifth wheel plate
- Proof of insurance
- Current cab card, license plate, and registration
FARM CLASS RULES
Farm Stock (4,500/5,500/7,500/9,500/10,500/12,500/14,500/16,500/18,500)
- Factory stock motor, carburetor and drivetrain for that make and model
- Stock or factory replacement turbo allowed on 10,500 and up -(3LM)
- Safety equipment encouraged
- No full cut ties, top cut tires allowed
- Dual allowed in any Farm Stock class (must make weight)
- Cross bolted exhaust or non flow through muffler
- Stock injection pump for make and model of tractor
- 6 mph speed limit on classes 9,500 and under
- 12 mph speed limit on 12,500
Improved Farm (12,000)
- No full cut tires, top cut tires allowed
- Factory stock motor and drivetrain for make and model of tractor
- Single 2.6 turbo
- Must have steel flywheel and scatter shield
- No water injection
- Stock crossover
- Cross bolted exhaust or none flow through muffler
- No duals allowed
- Factory style fuel system for make and model of tractor
- Safety equipment required: wheelie bars, pulling hitch (no clevis)
- ROPS and seat belt recommended
- Helmet required
- Kill switch required
Hot Farm 11,500
- Factory stock motor and drivetrain for make and model
- Water injection allowed
- Single 3×3 turbo
- No full cut tires, top cut tires allowed
- One fuel
- Helmet Required
- ROPS and/or cage required – 4 point harness minimum required with roll cage
- Wheelie bar required
- Seat belt required
- No duals allowed
- Air shut off required
- Must have steel flywheel and scatter shield
- Cross bolted exhaust
- Pulling hitch required (no clevis)
- Dead man throttle required
- Side shields required: 1/8” steel or 3/16” aluminum
Open/Hobby – 7,000/10,000
- Wheelie bars required
- Roll cage required – 4 point harness minimum required with roll cage
- Breakaway
